Is there any way to get cat claws s bit more blunt.
In a nice way they do themselves?
Currently having my groin shredded with sitting on cat

You can clip them bur if your cat goes out they don't recommend that cos they need em sharp to climb (and fight)0

Don't clip them too short - You'd be better off using a nail file just to remove the sharp points.
Better still, don't sit on the cat :rotfl:Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I suggest, same as with any animal, consistent training.
If you remove and ignore the cat (with a 'that hurts') whenever they knead with claws out, and positively reinforce with peering and affection when they knead with claws in, you should (eventually) see a change in behaviour.
I have a very disturbed kitty whom enjoys waking me by kneading my face while licking my nose or sucking my ear lobes (she'll even seek me out under the covers)
It took maybe two weeks for her to get the message claws weren't appreciated .That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I clip my cats nails, you can buy special scissors in pet shops or just use nail clippers.
Gently push out the nail and clip the point only. You will see a pink colour never the paw do not clip it or near it.0
